Wayahead Publishing was formed in 2001 to publish and market high quality walking and cycling guide-books suitable for both local people and visiting tourists. The format for this type of book has hardly changed in the last 50 years and we believe that it is time to move things forward a little. In the "Family Days in the Countryside" series, we combine the best mapping; comprehensive description; interesting background; treasure hunts; prizes; local pubs; places to go on a rainy day and many other features into a 128 page full-colour book. We also aim to keep the routes up to date with your help and the"Latest Route information" page. Our Mission Statement is: "to produce the best local walking and cycling guide books that are innovative, interesting and designed for use by the whole family".
